Inspiration strikes at the oddest times. While exploring the beautiful sights at Hobart, Tasmania, I stopped to sit and rest. Looking down, I observed the light play through the holes in this beautiful metal park bench and decided to make it a project.
Emulating the curve of the bench, the holes changed shape depending on the viewpoint and created a geometric and illusional pattern that I knew must become one of Lolili’s more graphic designs. Black, white and shades of grey.
This fun monochrome scarf is powerful in design, playful to wear, multi-seasonal, and can go from the most casual to the most elegant accessory. That’s versatility!
Things to do in Hobart:
· The famed Salamanca Market has been a Saturday tradition for more than 50 years and is a must
· The city’s food scene is dynamic, with cafes, restaurants and bars transforming Tasmania’s famously fresh produce into culinary delights
· See Hobart from the water or on foot around the waterfront, or even from the saddle of a bike on a mountain descent
· Sign up for a cruise or excursion of natural wonders, museums, markets and wineries, or just relax and take in the harbour vibe
· Taste wine at urban wineries, and when the day is almost done, sip a whisky beside a dinosaur fossil
